Virginia Water Pool House

This overtly crisp and modern design for a private indoor pool / spa enclosure was designed as part of a large, high specification residential development in Virginia Water, Surrey.

With a key focus on adaptability across the seasons, the façade was carefully designed to fully open up on all sides for the summer months by using large areas of sliding glazed walls. The varied heights of the flat roofs create different internal zones whilst admitting natural light deep into the plan of the building through glazing at each of the junctions.

Attention to detail and choice of materials is powerful. Stretched PVC ceiling provides the appearance of reflective white glass creating an interesting relationship with the water in the pool below. The design work for this project was completed whilst working as a Senior Architect at Martin Evans Architects.
